This picture is of Rachael Karker, who won a bronze medal in the halfpipe ski competition at the 2022 Olympics in Bejjing. We're watched her grow up, watched her compete in many sports and then had the thrill of watching her ski in the Olympics. Her medal run inspired me to paint a picture I found.
I did this a one the year before. It's also Rachael about to tackle the half pipe.
What caught my attention in the original photo was the concentration in her eyes.
